Welcome!
A little more about our family...Maybe that’s why He asks us to walk by faith, not by sight. Our strength to continue has been found along the way. Every setback we have ever faced has become a lesson learned and a path to move forward. Had we not taken that first step, we would not have the kind of strength we have now to keep going.
Our story involves entrepreneurship, uprooting, rebuilding, opioid addiction, navigating relationships and how that has all tied into finding a strength we never knew we had, and attributed to building a relationship with God.
The majority of our blog posts are inspired by real life situations we have lived and learned from. Some we’re still experiencing in real time.
We do not have any awe inspiring credentials to offer. We are just ordinary people with an extraordinary passion to meet others where they are at and to love them well.
There are inevitably situations we wish we never had to navigate through, but we recognize there are some circumstances that even the highest form of education cannot make sense of. When I was in a dark place, I wanted to talk to someone who had been there and survived it. And that is the heart behind what I hope to convey every time I put pen to paper. That is what fuels me and motivates me to continue my “dear diary” style of writing.
While we do not claim to have all the answers, we have been through enough life defining moments to know that sometimes the answers we are looking for are hidden in plain sight. We can’t always change our circumstances, but we can always change our perspective.
God has worked miracles in our marriage and in our lives and we would not be where we are today, if not for His grace.
Our journey is not yet complete and we have in no way “arrived”. But speaking from a place of vulnerability is where God gives purpose for our pain, and hope to others in pain, simultaneously. It’s where shame and regret make room for restoration and hope and that is a life-giving exchange.
It’s in these moments that God reminds us that our confidence is not found in how things will turn out, but in walking with the One who is working things out. When He says jump – we say how high.
Here, we hope you find a sense of clarity and purpose amidst the noise. And a peace in knowing you are not alone in it all.
Welcome to life from a “Fuller” Perspective.
